Chicago Part 2

I meant to upload this post of the remainder of our Chicago trip after my first one but I was sidetracked by waffles, followed by a weekend filled with champagne and chocolate. Forgive me?

The morning after the theater completely reflected our mood. Still on our Phantom high, we rolled out of bed and into the sunny streets to get breakfast.

Let me tell you, if you have a obsession love for bagels, go to E.leaven. They are big, puffy, doughy clouds of happiness and they are anything but stingy with the cream cheese.

With the multitude of polar vortexes that have hit us, we took any chance we could get to be in the sun.

That is . . . until we found the chocolate corner . . .

We each picked out our favorites.
Just one for each, portion control, you know?

Back out on the street, I saw something that blurred my vision and sent the angels in my head singing.
The American Girl store.

If you were anything like me when you were younger, there was nothing more glorious than American Girl dolls. All I wanted was to take my Samantha doll to the store and have a tea party. I'm a few years late but I finally made it.

It was everything I dreamed it would be. You can get your doll's hair done

Get her ears pierced

And eat sweets together.

I got a glimpse into the magical tea room but since Samantha was at home, I couldn't get in.

Eventually it was time to pack up our stuff and head home.
It was the best weekend with my favorite lady.
