First Pool Day?

Yesterday was going to be a big summer 2013 milestone: the first day at the pool. My Aunt and I go and eat naughty food, gossip, and just lay around all day in the sun. However, right before I arrived to pick her up she got a call saying she had to be rushed to urgent care to take care of multiple cat bites she got earlier in the day. She wasn't too happy.

Almost two hours later we finally strolled into the pool in desperate need of food, a drink, and sun.

When we were finally starting to relax and enjoy our general laziness, the sky turned black and it started storming

Can this actually count as the first pool day of the year? I think I'll call for a redo.

Green Zone

Here's a confession: I love pizza. A lot. I may or not even be . . . a pizzaholic.
You know how in Eat Pray Love, Julia Roberts goes on and on about having a love affair with her pizza? Yeah, that's me.

At home, our main pizza place is Green Zone. I have a love/hate relationship with their pizza but I still keep going because I love the restaurant.

Food Porn

Living in Italy taught me a lot of things. The most important being to appreciate and fall hopelessly in love with beautiful food. I mean, a perfectly shaped watermelon on a warm summers day is just as spectacular as the Mona Lisa. Just kidding, that's ridiculous. There is no comparison there, I mean, you can't eat the Mona Lisa.

Our one stop shop for all things wonderful and delicious!

My favorite's Gouda!

Baseball Time

When it's the miserable, dead of winter and I think about summer to lift my spirits, there are three things that always pop into my head:
Long walks on the beach.
Ice cream from the marina.
Watching Alex play baseball.
The kid has been playing since he could walk and we've always been right there to embarrass him cheer him on the whole time.

It doesn't matter how old he is, whenever he puts on a baseball uniform I automatically see this...

What a heart breaker!
