This weekend was Senior Dads weekend, a weekend I've been waiting for for 4 years. The dads of all the seniors come for the weekend and we eat, hang out, and indulge in all the good things in life.
We kicked the weekend off with a beer garden so the dads could meet (and realize they have no choice but to become best friends).
Next we headed over to the Oaken Bucket, a little restaurant on the river. Since there were so many of us, we rented out the lower level room, which pretty much looks like your grandparent's basement, jukebox, beer signs, pool table and all.
There's also a wooden bear outside but we'll get to that later.
It's a typical dad restaurant with a menu that consists of fries, burgers, sandwiches and beer, naturally.
Told you there was a bear.
After dinner we headed home to talk and . . .
open my first birthday present!
A great kick off to senior dads weekend.
